Spoonite

I recently worked on a project as a part of my team in Patch 2026 called Spoonite. Spoonite is a spoon that makes healthy foods taste like anything the user wants based on the cartridge that is popped into the spoon. The concept uses a combination of multisensory technology: an ultra-sonic atomiser that sprays a tiny mist of aroma into your mouth (retronasal olfaction creates the illusion of flavor), zero calorie flavoring agents and a pioneering texture technology that recreates the texture of the food. I learned a great deal through the extensive research my team and I did such as reading research papers and existing product analysis. My CAD skills also advanced greatly as I had to design the structure with multiple iterations of 3d prints. It was also the first project in which I needed to make the product food safe through food safe PLA and resin coating. I absolutely love public speaking so I was really happy to present the product on demo day through a pitch in front of over a 100 people in Dog Patch Labs, Dublin. While this is the most recent project that I am proud of, the product is still in the works. We hope to iterate it further.

02

TulAI

I built TulAI, a smart plant pot/ lamp that draws on cultural practices in India in order to improve emotional wellbeing and sustainability simultaneously. I speculated on the potential of AI to positively impact the planet and the concept of advanced plant microbial fuel in order to power the system. I worked with microcontrollers, built TulAI from wood in a workshop and made a concept film to prove the feasibility of the concept.

03

EcoCreate

EcoCreate was designed for a green area in my college known as the field (encouraging people to use it more). The app served as a one-stop solution for creative block by providing users with unique, low pressure, creatively stimulating writing/ drawing tasks related to the natural environment they're in. Successful completion of the task and being in nature would drastically improve their mental state and reduce creative blocks. The app uses AI and AR to detect and select a location in nature to work in and then provides creative writing/ drawing prompts related to that location to encourage awareness of surroundings. This project required a lot of field research which I really enjoyed as it gave me the chance to be with nature. It involved a lot of primary research which was a heavy task but also taught me the importance of collecting insights without making assumptions on a problem.

Namahstand

Namahstand is a project inspired by my grandmother who lives abroad and finds it inconvenient to access certain religious resources due to difficulty using technology. As a person who isn't particularly religious, I wanted to design something that would be easy to interact with for my grandmother. Hence, I designed a stand with a built-in NFC that would link to an app that would allow her to play religious music without the disturbance of ads, as well as show her prayer information which she has trouble remembering or searching up. I made a finished prototype and a functional app that was linked to the NFC inside the stand and a video advertising it. I learned how to work with NFC's during the project and got the opportunity to use the laser cutter including engraving designs. It was a challenge however, to work with acrylic and heat as it required extreme precision. Although, I did enjoy working with multiple 3D workshop tools.

Inclusive minds

Inclusive minds is an app I created along with my friends targeted towards disability needs in Ireland. The app acts as a resource hub and communication portal that provides people with disabilities with the necessary resources. I greatly enjoyed collaborating with a team to create this product. The product was created considering both secondary and primary research (a large-scale survey for the disabled community), enabling us to create a product that could truly impact the community. This project also secured us the first prize (1000 euros) and entered us into the regional final of the Hult Prize. A challenge was creating the app prototype within 24-hours as it was a 24-hour hackathon, however, this only developed my skills on figma further.

DrinCup

DrinCup is a project that was based on a very common issue. Dehydration. The goal of the team project was to create a cup that would remind people to drink while they're working, in a creative way. Hence, we made a cup with a mind of its own. It would gradually become more and more annoyed over time until it reached its tipping point and literally tipped over. This unideal function was made as a commentary on our dependency to water and what would happen if we stopped drinking. We got as far as creating a refined prototype of the cup and even made a demonstration video. This was by far one of my favorite product design projects as it showed me how much fun I can have working with a team. Each person brought an amazing skill to the table whether it be sketching, ideation or prototyping. This project further helped me learn how to use microbits and encouraged me to focus on industrial sketching as it would be an important skill for my future. Prototyping was certainly a challenge in this project as we had a lot of failed testing until we reached a working model.

07

Fearless Campaign

The Fearless Campaign was an awareness campaign that aimed to spread awareness on the importance of self defense against sexual assault for other youth in under privileged communities in India. I performed a street play in areas of Chennai for youth followed by a self defense workshop. The project encouraged me to solve problems even if it was just a small step in a long way to go. Seeing the live reaction of children and the positive feedback (and the unfortunate truth that sexual assault was a common occurence) further drove me towards fighting against sexual violence through arts and design. A challenge was finding volunteers willing to address the issue without payment as it was a non profit. Nevertheless, I made some amazing connections with people that were people willing to do good without a financial incentive.

Magic Mirrors Drama club and Bridging the Gap society

I founded the magic mirrors drama club in my school and led multiple dramas such as “How the Grinch Saved Christmas” which I directed (and played a part in) and was performed as a fundraiser for an orphanage (later performed there) as well a rendition of “A Doll's House” to empower women in my community. After moving, I am now a part of a theatre society in Ireland known as Bridging the Gap and played a character in their latest play “Good Grief”.

09

Snore bot

The snorebot is a project I created in 2025 inspired by my homesickness whilst studying abroad. I used to share a room while sleeping with my family and would constantly hear my father snore. Although, at the time I found it annoying, I soon became accustomed to it. So when I came to Ireland I found myself missing the noise. This unusual project involved creating a pair of robots that used microbits to transfer the sound of snoring from one room to another even if they are across different continents. After ideation, sketching and rough prototypes I managed to create a final functional prototype. Through the project I developed my CAD modelling skills including using a slicer and preparing it for laser cutting which was necessary as I made the prototype using stacks of flat cardboard (it was a spherical shaped robot). It took a lot of patience to create the final prototype as I had to stack numerous individual pieces of cartboards to make it. I really had fun experimenting with the microbits and the sensors and in making a video for the project.

Technological Hyperpresence philosophy essay

This is an essay I was quite proud of, completed in 2025, that showcased my understanding of technology and philosophy through a commentary on technological hyperpresence. While I have had practice writing many essays, this was by far my favorite essay because I had delved deeply into the subject of the future of technology through a philosophical view point. It was a challenge at first to understand philosophical terminologies, but once I began to immerse myself in the research I enjoyed it very much.

Arts and Media director at a branch of Statice Public Health Inc.

I designed the logo for a branch of the organisation, “Statice Public Health Inc.” I discussed with the head of the branch who specified certain aspects of the logo such as the color palette and elements. I brainstormed different logos, involving my client in the process after which I designed the logo from scratch on Inkscape. As the Arts and Media director at a branch of Statice Public Health Inc. (awareness on health organization), I have created multiple social media posts towards the cause. I designed them from scratch including continuous carousel posts (each slide is connected to the next) as it was the current trend. The design was also recognized by individuals for its aesthetics. I learned how to discuss with clients as this was very client based work. At the same time, I enjoyed designing for brand consistency as organisations require this.

12

“You're not alone” song album

As someone very passionate about women empowerment, I wanted to see how I could use music and writing to empower others. As a result, I created an album of songs (contrafactums) that I wrote the lyrics for, relating to different issues surrounding gender inequality. During the project I learned important principles of song writing as well how to use Adobe After Effects as I used it to design the lyric videos. A challenge was getting the songs out there but I tried to overcome this by promoting my songs on social media. My favorite aspect of this was going to a professional recording studio and recording my singing.

Micheal Mallin's Park tournament

The Micheal Mallin's Park tournament was something I completed quite recently in 2026 in Ireland with a team. After conducting primary research through interviews with people in the liberties and field research of existing greenspace it was clear that there are limited well known free sports facilities for children in inner city Dublin. Hence my team and I designed an event “Micheal Mallin's Park tournament” that brought awareness to a very overlooked sports facility in the area, Micheal Mallin's Park. I designed posters and created a social media account for the project. We created a proposal document along with a fully packed handover booklet (with everything needed to continue the event monthly) which we handed over to Foróige (A youth organisation in Ireland) in hopes that they would take the project on. It really brought me out of my comfort zone to talk to many people for research. However by the end of the project I was very comfortable approaching organisations and users to gather data. I also had a lot of fun during the kick off event as I got to see how the event made a difference in person (with children asking when the next event would happen).

14

Self-Care Toy

A project that I am extremely proud of is the Self-Care toy. There is a school near my house for children with intellectual disabilities and after visiting I found that self-care is a skill that the facilitators would like to develop. I conducted primary research such as interviews and observations as well secondary research through case studies and research papers. After ideation, iteration and user testing, production plans were also created. I learned multiple skills from research, product testing and CAD modelling through the project. But I also got the opportunity to learn how to understand a user's needs without the user necessarily saying it to me. A challenge was considering the production stage and considering everything a designer would need to provide for industrial production as this was something I was new to. I particularly enjoyed the ideation stage as I came up with different ideas that focused on different skills for self care from fine motor skills for brushing to wearing clothes.

Talking gloves15

Talking gloves

Another project that I enjoyed is the “talking glove” aimed towards people with a speech impairment by detecting sign language (sensed through the glove worn by the user) and translating it into audio. My team and I wanted to aid people with speaking impairments by providing them with an additional form of communication. Our prototype made it into the top 100 in the Youth Ideathon. I learned how to work with a team during the project and focus on different skills such as inputting ASL imagery with translation. I had fun working with my team since we all had fresh perspectives but it also came with its own difficulties such as ensuring that people put in an equal amount of effort.

1st rank in IB programmes16

1st rank in IB programmes

I also graduated the Middle Year programme (International Baccalaureate equivalent of Junior cert) as the school topper as well as graduated the top of my school in the Diploma programme (International Baccalaureate equivalent of Leaving cert). The IB posed several obstacles such as self management skills and analytical skills but was also the reason I realised I enjoyed public speaking and presentations.

The bills of an art student17

The bills of an art student

“The bills of an art student” was a commentary sculpture I made that was installed in the Aontaithe Exhibition which opened on the 31st of March 2025 at the “Venue”, DCU. The piece is an accumulation of all the bills gathered as an art student combined with a sculpture of an arm to represent the drowning sensation experienced from financial difficulty. The piece is embedded with an NFC that will open up to an interactive site outlining the details of expenses burdened by students specifically in the field of arts in today's economy. It also invites users to share their specific struggles through the interactive platform. During the creation of the sculpture I learned how to work with molds and realistically paint on synthetic material to appear like a human hand. It was very fun to work on the project as I had my friend mold the arm (which is quite a funny process). It was quite challenging however to install the hand on to the canvas so that it would look like it was drowning in the bills.

Deforestation song18

Deforestation song

I wrote a song about Deforestation that has now gained 9.4K views on YouTube which I feel was a success as its aim was to spread awareness on the harsh reality of illegal logging. I did this through writing the songs, singing it and animating a music video. While I enjoyed singing it, the animation of the video was something that was completely new to me and certainly developed my art skills.
